How Setup GPU Mining
Here are a few setups you have to follow which may require time, so choose a day when you are free for the whole day.
I will recommend you to have all the parts. Any missing parts will affect your mining rig build.
- First, assemble the mining rig.
You can create your mining rig, or you can get it online for a few bucks.
The build quality of a mining rig should be good, and edges should not be sharp.

If you are taking a mining rig online, then assembling the rig is very simple to do. You need a screwdriver and a manual.

After completing this, now unbox the processor.
- Attach processor
Now the first thing you have to do is take out your motherboard and attach a processor.
Installing a processor is very straightforward. You have to pull the lever next to the CPU socket.
Take the processor and see to it that you align the tiny dot on a motherboard. This process is the same with any processor like intel or a Ryzen.
Now put the lever back on. The processor should get fixed on the socket without any pressure. If it takes any pressure, then don’t force it. You might wrongly align it.
Now add a CPU fan on top of a processor. For the CPU fan, plug the socket in the correct port.
You can see the 4 pins, and it will be written on a motherboard CPU fan, now plug the socket.
Now the CPU fan is all done.
Let’s move into an installment of RAM.
- RAM to the motherboard.
Now see on the motherboard how many slots you have for ram.
If you have 4 slots, then add ram on the 2nd and 4th slots first.
If you have 2 slots, then add ram on the 1st slot.

Installing ram on the motherboard is simple.
Unlock the latch and slide the ram into the slots and add some pressure. You will hear a little clip sound, and the latch will be automatically clipped into it.
Now your motherboard is all ready to attach.
- Attach the motherboard on a mining rig.
Now you have to place the motherboard onto your mining rig frame.
Now screw all sides of the motherboard to the rig.
Also, attach the SSD to the rig frame.
You should have a SATA cable so you could connect your SSD with the motherboard. There will be multiple plugs for your SATA cable. You can put it into any cable on the motherboard.
And another cable is a power cable that connects to the power supply.
Now add the power button to the motherboard.
Note: to plug this power button, and there is a bottom right to the motherboard; there are many pins. The third and fourth pin from the top left is usually a power switch pin. Refer to the motherboard manual, and it might differ to different motherboards.
- Attach Power Supply.
First, attach the power supply to your mining rig case.
Now connect the 24 pins to the motherboard.
Note: Try to avoid loose connections because that can cause some damage later on.
After connecting the 24 pins, plug the CPU cable in the top left of the motherboard.
Now enter the SATA power cable to SSD.
Now the last step is to attach the GPU.
- Attach USB riser
Now this work is a little bit tedious. The PCI-e x1 needs to be connected to the motherboard and make use of your x16 USB riser that has assembled with PCI-e x1.
When it comes to PCI-e slots, you should rank them with the primary slots. The primary slots are larger, so you can plug in the GPU whichever x16 slot you use first.
You will need to first plug into large slots, as I already mentioned. The largest slots are the first, then the next. You will then have a smaller slot, which will vary depending on the motherboard.

Now to give a power connection to the riser, you will need a six-pin connector, a SATA cable, or a Molex connector to connect it.
Connect all power cables to the USB risers. For each PSU cable, you can use up to 2 Molex connectors or SATA connectors. It is dangerous to connect more than 4 power connectors with 3 or 4 risers.
- Attach GPU
After all, the riser is properly connected to your motherboard and now attaches the GPU, which is very easy.
- Installing fans
You almost reach to appoint where you are done with your mining rig.
If you are planning on inserting some fans, you can feel free to do some fans if your mining rig case supports fans. It helps with the temperature, so having some fans will be very helpful.
- Cable management
Now the most agonizing step of the process is cable management, so you want to go ahead and try to clean up the cable as much as possible.
- Final steps
After organizing your cable now, you are with the GPU mining rig.
Check all the connections which should connect adequately.

– ASIC Mining
ASIC mining is hardware that is made particularly for mining hardware.
ASIC stands for “Application Specific Integrated Circuit.” Miner is designed to solve problems using the SHA256 hashing algorithm.

How Setup ASIC Mining
The setup of ASIC miner is straightforward can be done in few steps. But you should have a wifi router and an ether cable.
- Attach socket
Connect your ASIC with the 16-ampere socket.
- Connect Lan cable to wifi router
Connect one end of your LAN cable to the ASIC miner and another end to the wifi router.
- Turn on ASIC
Turn on your wifi and ASIC miner so that you can find out the IP address of your ASIC miner.
- Discover the IP address

- Configuration
