Graphic Card Mining

Cryptocurrency mining needs computational power to validate a transaction in a blockchain. So to do that it needs high-end hardware, one of the best hardware is ASIC miner which is too costly and another one is the graphic card.

Graphic cards provide processing power to validate a crypto transaction, all the crypto which is minable works on proof of work.

Cryptocurrency can be mine on both the graphic cards which are NVIDIA and AMD. But there are several restrictions in that too, which is some coins can only mine with AMD graphic cards and some coins which can mine with only Nvidia Graphic cards. 

There are many graphic cards so choosing one is not much difficult to do. First, decide your budget and then select a graphic card that gives high Hashrates.

For those who don’t know about Hashrates: Hashrates which calculates the computational power of the hardware, depending upon Hashrates you can calculate profits. 

Most of the latest graphic cards provide good Hashrates compared to other graphic cards.

CPU Mining

CPU mining also provides some Hashrates which can be used for crypto mining. 

If you compare CPU mining with GPU mining there will be a huge difference in profits and Hashrates. CPU provides very little Hashrateswhich is not much feasible.

I do CPU mining only when my computer is idle or at night when I don’t use the computer.

But in the mining rig, I always do CPU mining because I don’t do any work on my mining rig. This is only built for cryptocurrency mining.

After CPU and GPU mining, the hard drive mining is also getting eyeballs by miners. 

More coins are coming in crypto which can be mine or farm with hard drives.

Now there are only a few coins that are minable with hardware and that are Filecoin, Burst, and Chia. 

Burst is the oldest hard drive mining coin that has given good returns in the past few days. But now the most famous hard drive mining coin is Chia and it has given good returns. 

Cryptocurrency Mining Requirements

To start cryptocurrency mining you will need these:

2. Graphic Card (6GB/8GB)
3. CPU
4. SMPS of 750Watt +, 
5. Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse
6. 4GB Ram
7. SSD
8. WIFI

If you want to build a mining rig then you are going to need a riser, more graphic cards, increase your power supply, mining rig frame, and many more. There is no change in ram, SSD, monitor, mouse, and keyboards if you want to build a mining rig. 

Cryptocurrency Mining Pool

A mining pool helps miners to join a pool where many miners provide computational power and in return, they give rewards as per your Hashrates. 

There is solo mining and pool mining.

Solo mining is where you create your pool and try to find a block with your computational power. With a small mining rig, finding a block will be very difficult. But once you get the block all the rewards will be with yourself only.

In pool mining, the risk of finding a block decreases because there is so much computational power that finding a block is very easy and rewards for that block get distributed with all the miners (as per your computational power). 

Crypto Mining Algorithm

A mining algorithm is used for mining a certain coin which helps us to connect to a blockchain to solve a puzzle or to validate a transaction. 

Mining algorithms provide a service but they charge some fees of 0.1% to 3% dev fee so that in the future they update the mining algorithm and users earn more rewards. 

Different algorithms work on different coins. Not all the algorithms are going to work on all the proof of stake coins.
